Spiced Raw Mango

10th Recipe in the 50 Shades of Summer Recipes

Mango season is here!! This is one dish my mum makes almost every single day. This is the dish that doesn’t really have a name in Kannada, or we don’t use it. It’s also called Didhir Uppinakai which means instant pickle, each time we are referring to the dish we just call it raw mango with spices in Kannada. I only seemed to realise this when I sat down to write and recipe and I had no clue what the dish was called.

This is one dish that is great on it’s own as a salad and goes beautifully with Rasam rice or even curd rice.
