14th recipe in the 50 Shades of Summer!
It’s not everyday when the blog gets a new home! My Food Chakra finally has it’s own domain name 🙂 I don’t know if this is because of the series or the fact that I am finally regularly blogging. It felt like it was the right time to move to a custom domain name.
This post is two days late. Friday was Rama Navami, celebrated in the middle of summer heat and total strangers turn into friends while sharing Lemonades, fruit juices and eateries that are meant only for the scorching heat of the summer. I think this is also the time when Bangaloreans turn a little generous where all this is served around temples or a busy street or in the neighbourhood where the children are red from playing the in the sun.
So, here is a Rama Navami special musk melon juice.
I wanted the juice to be cold that’s why had refrigerated the fruit. You could either refrigerate the fruit itself or cut the fruit and refrigerate it… Works either way. Also if you want the juice to be cold you could add ice to it.
The musk melon like the watermelon does not need addtional water while making the juice, they are juicy enough on their own.
Musk Melon Juice – No Sugar Added
- Remove the skin and cut the musk melon into large chunks.
- Blend it for about 3 minutes. Even if it has a few chunks it’s okay.
- Serve Cold
In case, you think the juice is not sweet enough, you could either add sugar or jaggery to it while blending.
